THE LATE NANCY TYNAN
The death has occurred of Nancy Tynan, nee Hayes, Stonepark, Ballinderry. Sympathy is extended to her family.

TERRYGLASS ARTS FESTIVAL
The 15th Terryglass Arts Festival, which took place recently, was a tremendous success thanks to the dedicated people who have worked untiringly to make the festival one of the best in the country.
The festival committee would like to acknowledge the support of the sponsors and contributors, without whom the festival could not have taken place. They would like to acknowledge the support of the Gardai, Civil Defence, RNLI, North Tipperary Arts Office, the Board of Management of Terryglass School, the Hall Committee, the Pastoral Council for the use of Terryglass Church and all of our volunteers for their help over the festival.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations are extended to the young people of the parish who did so well at the recent Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Derry. 1st in Duet (under 12) were Manus O’hEanain, Terryglass and Keelan MacCraith, Bellgrove and 1st in Duet (Under 15) was Cliodhna NiEanain, Terryglass with Jack MacPartalain.

TERRYGLASS ICA
The first meeting of Terryglass ICA Guild, after the summer break, will be held in Terryglass Community Hall at 8pm on Wednesday 4th September. New members would be most welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’ is Mobile Phone Safety. The following practical measures can help in preventing and reducing mobile phone theft. Register your mobile phone with your service provider. Enable the PIN Security feature and keep your phone locked at all times. When out and about keep your phone out of public view, be streetwise and always be aware of your surroundings. Never leave your mobile phone behind in an unattended vehicle. If your phone is lost or stolen, contact your service provider immediately to suspend your service and prevent unauthorised calls being made and billed to you.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMNT
The next outing of the Lower Ormond ARA will be on Monday16th September to The Derg, Terryglass for a three course meal at 1pm. The menu choice is either beef or trout and for dessert either the restaurant speciality cherry trifle or rice. The afternoon will continue with music and dancing with music supplied by the ever popular Seanie. The subsidized cost is €10 and names can be given to Jimmy Donnelly 067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.
