TIDY TOWNS SUCCESS
The results of the 2015 Tidy Towns competitions were announced in Dublin last week and we can be very proud of the results awarded to our two villages. Terryglass and Kilbarron are listed in the top 3 villages in Category A section of the competition, with Terryglass being awarded a Gold Medal this year. They improved their score by 8 marks to end up just one point behind Birdhill, who have 321 points. Kilbarron increased their points by 9 this year to end up on 302. These are tremendous results, and great praise must be given to the committees and volunteers in both villages for their continued hard work and commitment in keeping our villages looking so beautiful.
