May is Safeguarding Month During the last year, 24 Pastoral Ministers were appointed to the Diocese of Killaloe, in Pastoral Care and Catechesis. These Pastoral Ministers have been appointed to different Pastoral Areas, working alongside priests and Pastoral care teams. All the Ministers have been Garda vetted and undertaken Safeguarding training in line with Diocesan Safeguarding Policy. Prayer, reflection and continues discernment, is a vital part of the Ministers life, ensuring that they remain steadfast and diligent as Pastoral Ministers of the Church

Thought for the Day
Easter makes us a hopeful people. We are hopeful because we know that, as St Paul puts it in his letter to the Romans; ‘nothing that exists, nothing still to come, can never come between us and the love of God made visible in Christ Jesus our Lord’ – not even our own tendency to say ‘no’ to the Lord. The hope that we have does not come from anything in ourselves; it is rooted in the Lord’s faithfulness to us. We are hopeful because we know that the Lord will never turn away from us, we are hopeful because we know than his ‘yes’ is always stronger than our ‘no’. Martin Hogan
