THE ADVENT WREATH
It’s circular shape with no beginning and no end symbolises the eternity of God. In the midst of the winter bleakness, its evergreen reminds us of the everlasting life we have in Christ. Pine cones in the wreath remind us of new life and Resurrection. The four candles represent the four weeks of Advent and purple is the colour of prayer and penance.
As winter leans deeper into darkness we are ever invited to lean deeper into the light, Christ the light of the world.
