SHANNONSIDE IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATION: CE Scheme have vacancies in Ballinderry Sports Field, Terryglass and Kilbarron Village. Duties include grass cutting, weeding etc. 19.5 hours per week with CE rates paid and training opportunities. Applicants must be over 21 and in receipt of a Social Welfare Payment. PORTUMNA PLAYERS are very excited to announce that we are putting on the hilarious play “Marrying Mike” in Fuengirola, Spain. In preparation for the trip and as a thank you to our many supporters we will be performing the play in Portumna Town Hall on 11th Oct 2024 at 8.00 pm – free of charge. Seats will be strictly on a first come first served basis. Guaranteed a great nights entertainment. There will also be a raffle on the night.
CLOTHES COLLECTION – Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association will collect used clothing in good clean dry condition, i.e., men’s, ladies and children’s clothing, paired shoes, belts, hats, handbags and soft toys, curtains, towels, bed linen. No pillows, duvets or carpets. Collection from Kilbarron hall on Sat October 19th from 10am to 1.30pm.
TIMBER AUCTION – this year’s fundraiser by Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association will be a timber auction on Sun. 10th November in Kilbarron car park. If you could donate any timber or help to cut timber please contact Niamh Quinn 086 0743000.
