KILBARRON 200
A wonderful weekend of events marked the bi-centenary of Kilbarron Church. The James Kilbane concert in the church on Friday night was very well attended and much enjoyed by the audience. The Historical Walking Tour organised by the Kilbarron/Terryglass Historical Society was greatly supported and was a credit to the hard work of the society in organising the many aspects of the event. On Sunday afternoon Bishop Kieran O’Reilly celebrated the Mass organised for this very special occasion and the musical accompaniment was outstanding. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in all the bi-centenary events.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The Tip of the Week is-It only takes a few minutes to make sure that your electrical appliances, tools and outlets are safe and a fraction of a second for an accident to occur. Protect children and small pets by using plastic safety covers on all unused outlets and keep cord out of sight and reach. Make sure all electrical devises are in good repair, if damaged wire inside a tool or appliance touches the body of the devise it would be the same as touching a live wire. Don’t attempt to fix an electrical appliance or tool while the unit is plugged in.
