Terryglass Arts Festival A.G.M. 2015
The AGM will take place in Terryglass Hall on Thursday night, March 26th, at 7.30 pm. We invite anyone who has an interest in the festival to attend. This year’s festival takes place from Wednesday August 12- Sunday 16th. Come along and help make the festival a success again this year. You can contribute in any way, from being a member of the committee to helping with some administration tasks, to volunteering during the festival itself! Terryglass Arts Festival brings the Arts to All – Please help us to do it!

The Maiden Aunt’, a three-act comedy from Portumna Players
Portumna Players is staging ‘The Maiden Aunt’, a three-act comedy written by Jimmy Keary and directed by Johanna Burke, in the Town Hall, Portumna. It will run for three nights on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th & Sunday 22nd March at 8.30 pm. ‘Old and new faces’ on stage!

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
Kilbarron / Terryglass Community Alert are holding a church gate collection on at both Masses next weekend – Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March.

SPORTS QUIZ
Shannon Rovers GAA is holding a sports quiz next Friday night 20th March at Paddy’s Pub, Terryglass commencing at 9.00pm.This is a chance for our knowledgeable sport supremos in the parish to vye for the number one spot. There are a few teams coming in from the surrounding parishes as well so it is important to be fit and ready. Tables are forty euro per table which consits of four members. it will be a great night of fun witha few spot prizes threwn in. All are welcome

AUCTION SUCCESS
Ballinderry Sportsfield Committee would like to thank everybody who came out to support our recent timber auction in Kilbarron on Sunday 8th March. There were many people who volunteered their time and assistance and made it a great success. We wish to thank all those who donated timber and those who cut and loaded the timber in the weeks leading up to the auction. Many thanks also to all those who helped on the day itself and to those who organised the lots of timber. Thanks also to our excellent auctioneer and to everyone involved in the processing and delivery of sold timber. Most of all we would like to thank you for the large support of the parish.

CHURCH NEWS
Station Masses during Lent – next weekend in Terryglass on Saturday March 21stn at 7.30pm and in Kilbarron on Sunday, March 22nd at 10am. During these Masses we will bless all seeds for sowing at this Spring time of the year. We gather especially at these Masses to pray for the people of our Station Area.
Church Collection Envelopes were available in the Churches after all Masses last weekend. Details of parish accounts for 2014 are enclosed along with CHY3 forms which we would encourage all PAYE and Self Assessed tax payers to complete which would allow the parish to reclaim a tax refund on all donations greater than €250. If you have any queries about your account, or have not received your envelopes please contact the Parish Office.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The next outing is on Monday 23rd March to The Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon, for a three course lunch at 1pm, followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The menu choice is Beef, Stuffed Turkey or Herbed Cod, followed by either trifle, apple crumble or strawberry roulade. OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Operation Transformation continues in Kilbarron with Boxercise classes in Kilbarron Hall on Tuesday nights from 8-9pm. The weekly ‘Weigh-in’ at Hannigan’s is on Wednesday nights at 9pm. So why not come along and join the fun while losing those extra lbs and getting fitter..

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
