Saturday February 1st is Feast of St. Brigid – renowned for her hospitality, almsgiving and care of the sick. 

 SUNDAY 2nd Feb =  Feast of the Presentation of our Lord

Monday 3rd February =  Feast of St. Balize                

Blessing of throats will take place at all Masses over the weekend.

Candles will be blessed at both Masses over the weekend.   Candles for Altar use or donations for same will be very welcome.  Extra candles will be available to take home if anyone wishes to do so. 

TERRYGLASS HALL AGM on Wed.  Feb 5th at 8.30pm in Terryglass Hall.  All are welcome.

 Sunday of the Word of  God.  Pope Francis has named this 3rd Sunday of the year to be devoted to the celebration and study of the Word of God.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK – During Catholic Schools Week we are asked to think about how we can live in harmony with God, with our neighbours, with all generations, with the earth and in our Catholic schools.

Appeal for Nurses This year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from Friday 26th June to Wednesday 1st July. To care for sick and assisted pilgrims , the Diocese is looking to recruit 20 volunteer nurses who would assist and care for these pilgrims. Nurses who would like to express interest in volunteering or to find out more information are asked to contact Michael Daly 086-3813677.

Bishop Fintan Monahan will lead a 7-night pilgrimage to Medjugorje from July 22-29, 2020 with direct flights from Dublin to Mostar-Medjugorje Airport. Mass daily with full religious programme with sightseeing and visit to local sites of interest. Air-conditioned accommodation close to St James’ Church with breakfast and evening meals included.
