Holy Week Services are Available remotely in Cois Deirge parishes

  • Videos of The Palm Sunday Vigil Mass, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday with Fr Tom liturgies from the church will be posted early each evening on the SS Peter& Paul Church Borrisokane Facebook page

  • Services for Holy Week are available on church webcams, Local Radio and RTE

    Palm and Holy Water palms and Easter holy water will sadly be unavailable this Easter.

    • It is suggested that you take a sprig of palm or a branch from the garden and unite the blessing of them with the blessing given via webcam, Facebook-live or the TV or radio Mass.
    • We might do likewise with water in our homes on Holy Saturday

      Sunday and weekday Masses are on radio/ TV and webcams around the country.  Mass on Tipp FM on Sunday morning at 9am.  Check Nenagh and Roscrea parish websites for link to Mass by Web Cam.  Mass also broadcast on TV channel RTE News Now every day at 10.30am  Check Borrisokane Parish website for a link to Mass.

    • Trócaire Lenten Campaign   On the final week of our Lenten Journey of helping the poor. We continue to reach out to the poor in our Trócaire Lenten Campaign. When it is safe to do, we will organise the collection of our Trócaire boxes. We can continue to give and share. Every cent and euro do make a difference!
    • GUIDELINES FOR FUNERALS  Statement from Munster Bishops

      We recommend that all Catholic funeral liturgies in our Dioceses be limited to the funeral Mass. In other words, there should be no removal to the church the evening before.  The Covid-19 crisis will pass and there will be other possibilities for Mass or prayers to be said for those who die during this period.

    • Anniversary Masses: We continue to pray for and remember or deceased relatives and friends throughout this difficult time. All anniversary masses will be rearranged at a future date.

      ALONE has launched a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
