The Pastoral Councils of our 3 parishes met with Bishop Fintan and the diocesan pastoral team
- Necessity has fuelled cooperation between the parishes with pastoral planning taking place with our two co- parish priests generally working well, with more give and take and a volunteering spirit.
- A developing confidence in lay leadership in the community and in leading liturgy was noted.
- The decline in church attendance was broken down as a 1/3 attending, 1/3 somewhat interested and 1/3 with little interest in faith.
- The challenge of the next Pastoral Plan 2021- 2031 is to tailor the response to each pastoral area
The nurturing of faith with the young in a culture of competition with so many other choices is very challenging and it is the reality that we face today.
