PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

We thank the outgoing member of the Pastoral Council for the diligent work and dedication to the Parish over the past number of years.  We welcome the new team –Helen Fox, Margaret Dunne, Tomas Tiernan, Carmel O’Dwyer, Linda Rourke Tiernan, David Whelan, Maeve Deasy, Donal Leenane, Emma Flannery, John Tierney.  Our next PPC meeting will be held on Wed. Jan 25th at 8pm in the Small Hall, Kilbarron.  If you have any item for the agenda, please contact one of the above members.

ALTAR SERVERS  After an absence of almost 3 years we are delighted to welcome back our Altar Servers in both churches.

 

FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION  The next Ritual Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, Jan 29th at 9.30am in Kilbarron church.

 

Catholic Schools Week 2023 will be celebrated 22 nd – 29th January.  The theme this year ‘Catholic Schools: ‘Walking together in Faith and Love.’   During Catholic Schools Week families, parishes and schools are invited to participate in a week of celebration of Catholic schools reflecting on their contribution to the common good of society.

 

Borrisokane Yoga Classes have resumed Mondays 7- 8.15. All are welcome! The classes focus on deconstructing stiffness. For further information call 087- 7460444

 

First Aid Course: The Irish Red Cross Nenagh Branch will run a First Aid Responder Course on 18th and 19th Feb in the Pastoral Centre Nenagh. More details or book a place contact 0868281131 or e mail chair.nenagh@irishredcross.com    

 

Lorrha Drama Group will stage their production of “A Skull in Connemara” on Saturday and Sunday nights, 21st and 22nd of Jan. Doors at 8pm and curtain at 8.30pm. Seats on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this play does contain some strong language.
