FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION  The next Ritual Mass will be celebrated this Sunday, Jan 29th at 9.30am in Kilbarron church.

 

May the blessing of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be on these crosses, on where they are and on everybody who looks at them. Amen.

 

FEAST DAYS THIS WEEK

Wed. Feb 1st –  We mark the Feast of St. Brigid – renowned for her hospitality, almsgiving and care of the sick.   

Thurs. Feb 2nd  –The Feast of the Presentation of our Lord and Candlemas Day

Fri. Feb 3rd  –   also  Feast of St. Balize  also First Friday with Mass in Kilbarron at 9am.  Blessing of throats will take place at all Masses over the weekend.

Candles will be blessed at both Masses over the weekend.   Candles for Altar use or donations for same will be very welcome.  Extra candles will be available to take home if anyone wishes to do so. 

 

Catholic Schools Week 2023 concludes today 29th January.  The theme this year ‘Catholic Schools: ‘Walking together in Faith and Love.’   The Catholic school emphasises the mission of Christ and the religious programme taught affirms and deepens the understanding the students have of the Catholic religion.  We also acknowledge the important role of grandparents in our children’s lives.

St. Brigid you were a voice for the wounded and the weary.

Strengthen what is weak within us.

Calm us into a quietness that heals and listens.
