In the midst of these testing times, we remember we are community, so we pray for each other, care for each other and show solidarity by being responsible and by following the government directives given.
Parishioners have also been in touch with me to offer their help for anyone in the community who would like to avail of their assistance, whether to collect or do some shopping, or are available just for a chat and some human and caring contact while still maintaining social distance. So if you, or someone you know would like or benefit from that help, please let me know, and I would be happy to co-ordinate it.
In the first letter of St. John, the evangelist says: Perfect love drives out fear. During this time, we especially need to love each other, support each other and pray for each other. May God’s love in us and out love for each other dispel fear and anxiety, may St. Patrick and St. Joseph protect us, and may we continue to stay connected and be a caring, Christian community.
Fr. Michael.
