Today is the beginning of Holy Week, when we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.’

Easter Sunday:  Terryglass 9.30am, Borrisokane 11am, Rathcabbin 11.30am

 

 

TROCAIRE In these final days of Lent, we are reminded of our obligations to the poor. Trócaire boxes and offerings can be returned at the Holy Week Ceremonies or after Easter.

 

KILBARRON N.S.  Enrolling of new pupils for the school year 2024-2025 in Kilbarron N.S. is now underway.  Enrolment forms and full details are available from the school office from the secretary Edel. If you have any queries please contact the school on 067 28144 or 087 7024877.

ENERGY SAVING AT HOME  Residents of Terryglass and surrounding areas are invited to a free workshop on Energy Saving at Home in Terryglass Hall on Tues  9th April at 7.30pm

 

CLOTHES COLLECTION – Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association will collect used clothing in good clean dry condition, i.e., men’s, ladies and children’s clothing, paired shoes, belts, hats, handbags and soft toys, curtains, towels, bed linen.   Kilbarron hall on Sat April 6th from 11am to 1.30pm.

 

BALLINDERRY COMMUNITY SPORTSFIELD LOTTO DRAW

Our lotto took place this week 18th March 2024 @ 9pm.

Welcome to the most important week of  our church year, today Palm Sunday, is the beginning of Holy Week.

We celebrate the fact that the cross and suffering are not the final words.

 

HOLY WEEK                                         

CONFESSION AVAILABLE–  in Terryglass Church on Holy Thursday and in Kilbarron after the 3pm ceremonies. General absolution during Masses in Holy Week.  

 

Holy ThursdayTerryglass:  8.pm.  The Mass of the Lord’s Supper

This is an invitation to hear the call of Jesus to serve His people, as He Himself did, by giving His whole life in love to us and His Father.  Adoration at the Altar of Repose after Mass, concluding with Night Prayer at 10pm

 

Good Friday – Kilbarron: 3pmCelebration of the Lord’s  Passion   

This is an invitation to see that the Lord Jesus is still suffering in the suffering of His people.  

 

Good Friday – Terryglass: 8pm.       Stations of the Cross.

This is a quiet reflection as we gather around the Cross on this sacred evening.  We will walk the way of the Cross outside on the Little Wood Trail. 

 

Holy Saturday – Kilbarron 8.30pm.             Easter Vigil.

This is the high point of our Easter Tridium and is an invitation to be always hopeful in Christ’s suffering and victory.

  

Easter Sunday Morning Mass – Terryglass: 9.30am.
