THANK YOU
Paddy’s Bar in conjunction with Terryglass Kilbarron Game & Conservation Club are delighted to announce we have raised a total of €3,814.70 from our WILD FOOD FUNDRAISER Friday 28th November for St. Dympna’s centre in Portumna. We are so overwhelmed by the kindness of people in our community and further afield who donated money, spot prizes, food, their time and energy to make this a hugely successful night. We also thank all who attended on the night itself and donated so kindly.

KIBARRON N.S.
Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association would like to thank all those who recently contributed old clothing for our fundraising clothes collection. Please continue to keep any bags of unwanted clothing as we will be having another collection in the near future. Any queries please contact Carmel on 087 6359492.

PHOTO APPEAL
Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association are currently seeking old school photographs from down the years. We are in the early stages of compiling a book which brings together the memories and pictures of both students and teachers from all eras of the school. If anyone has memorabilia or pictures we could include we would be very grateful. Please contact Kathy Slattery, Margaret O’Brien or Carmel Fox.

CHURCH NEWS
We welcome into our Christian community, James Patrick Donnelly who was baptised in Kilbarron recently. James is the son of Ciaran and Catriona Donnelly, Carney Commons.

CHRISTMAS MARKET
The Old Church, Borrisokane will be holding a Christmas market on Saturday 13th December from 2-6pm. Stall are €10 each, contact Pamela 087-7523568 or Miriam 086-8941626 to book yours.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
At present we are collecting toys new and old in preparation for Christmas. The usuals are also accepted– Clothes, books, DVDs, CDs, school uniforms, jewellery, shoes, bags, furniture, paper and plastic bags. Any unwanted toys and other items can be dropped in to the shop 37/38 Mitchell Street, Nenagh, Monday to Saturday 10.00am-5.00pm. If needed we can also collect items. Our contact number is 067-31313. OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Operation Transformation continues in Kilbarron with Boxercise classes in Kilbarron Hall on Tuesday nights from 8-9pm. The weekly ‘Weigh-in’ at Hannigan’s is on Wednesday nights at 9pm. So why not come along and join the fun while losing those extra lbs and getting fitter..

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The annual Christmas Party is on Monday 15th Dec. in The Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon at 1pm. Meal choice is Stuffed Turkey or Herbed Cod, with a Christmas Platter dessert. The meal will be followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The subsidized cost is €10 and names can be given to Jimmy Donnelly 067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,800. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
