THE LATE MICHAEL (MOUSE) KENNEDY
The death occurred on Friday 10th February of Michael Kennedy, Coolbawn. Removal took place on Saturday evening from Ryan’s Funeral Home, Nenagh to Kilbarron Church and after Requiem Mass on Sunday internment took place in the adjacent cemetery beside his beloved wife Nellie. Mouse as he was known to all was a devoted father, grandfather and brother. He was born in Brocka nearly 87 years ago and had lived and worked in Coolbawn for many years. He was one of the nicest people you could meet, always good humoured, always with a jokey remark and lots of chat. For many years he had been a member of the FCA with many interesting stories to relate and also a life time follower of the Shannon Rovers who he had played with in earlier days.  In later life he was involved with the local groups for older people, where he enjoyed the meals out and music having been an excellent dancer in his younger days. I suppose that our lasting memory of Mouse is seeing himself and Nellie traveling along the Coolbawn road on his trusty Honda bike. Sympathy is extended to his son Tony, daughter-in-law Anne, sisters Biddy Esther, Minnie and Chrissy, brothers John and Oliver, grandchildren Lorraine, Barry and Kyle, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends and neighbours.
