TERRYGLASS ON ST PATRICK’S DAY
Help – St Patrick has lost his flock of sheep!! They are running wild in Terryglass. We need help to round them up for the parade. Please come to Terryglass hall at 1.30pm find the sheep and herd them to the parade.
Village market from 11am. Parade starts at 2pm with face painting with Gerardine

DRAMA SUCCESS
Kilbarron Drama Group wish to thank all those who supported the production of John B Keane’s hilarious comedy “Moll” last weekend. It was great to play to full houses each night. DVD’s of the play will be available shortly at a cost of €10, please contact Margaret on 087 2772545 to order your copy. The Drama Group will hold their annual ‘Nite Out’ in Hannigans, Kilbarron this Friday, March 13th from 9.30pm. All are welcome to join us for the craic, music and finger food.

KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The next monthly lecture will be presented by Lorna Moloney on ‘Military Warfare in 14th Century Munster’. It will be held on Friday 13th March in the Pavillion Ballinderry. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Entry is €2 for members and €5 for non-members with light refreshments afterwards. Lorna is the resident genealogist at Dromoland Castle, Doctoral Researcher at Merriman Research and Training and currently co-ordinates the summer school ‘Ancestral Connections: Names, Places and Spaces’ in UCC. This summer school won a Presidential Gathering Award for 2013. Lorna is currently completing her PhD at NUI Galway concentrating on the MacNamaras of East Clare in Medieval Times.

Terryglass Arts Festival A.G.M. 2015
The AGM will take place in Terryglass Hall on Thursday night, March 26th, at 7.30 pm. We invite anyone who has an interest in the festival to attend. This year’s festival takes place from Wednesday August 12- Sunday 16th. Come along and help make the festival a success again this year. You can contribute in any way, from being a member of the committee to helping with some administration tasks, to volunteering during the festival itself! Terryglass Arts Festival brings the Arts to All – Please help us to do it!

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The next outing is on Monday 23rd March to The Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon, for a three course lunch at 1pm, followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The menu choice is Beef, Stuffed Turkey or Herbed Cod, followed by either trifle, apple crumble or strawberry roulade. POP UP SHOP
A pop-up second hand shop to raise funds for Africa is open on Fridays and Saturdays for the next few weekends, in Main St. Borrisokane. For more information and to donate items please contact Mary McGeeney on 067 22164.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
Kilbarron Hall Committee will hold its annual Church Gate Collection at Masses in Terryglass and Kilbarron during the week-end of March 14th and 15th. All funds raised are used for the upkeep of our community hall and your support will be greatly appreciated.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Operation Transformation continues in Kilbarron with Boxercise classes in Kilbarron Hall on Tuesday nights from 8-9pm. The weekly ‘Weigh-in’ at Hannigan’s is on Wednesday nights at 9pm. So why not come along and join the fun while losing those extra lbs and getting fitter..

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
