CHURCH NEWS
CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES
Christmas Eve by Candle light: Kilbarron at 7pm and Terryglass at 9pm.
Christmas Day- Family Masses: Terryglass at 9.30am and Kilbarron at 11am.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR PRACTICE In Terryglass Church on Sunday 18th December at 7pm, and in Kilbarron Church on Monday 19th December at 7.30pm. All are welcome to join us to help with the celebration of our Christmas Masses.
PENITENTIAL SERVICE – There will be a Penitential Service during each Mass next weekend, December 17th and 18th in preparation for Christmas. There will be an opportunity for individual confession after Mass.
‘Bambinelli Sunday’ will be celebrated in the Diocese of Killaloe at all Masses on the Fourth Sunday of Advent (December 18th). All children and families are invited to bring the Baby Jesus figure from their homes to be blessed.
SACRED HEART MESSENGER. The subscription for the 2016 Messenger is now due, please give same to your promoter or leave into either Sacristies as soon as possible.

BORRISOKANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHRISTMAS FAIR
This year’s Fair will be held in the school on Friday December 16th from 3 to 10pm. A huge selection of gifts and products made by the students and local producers will be available. Please support.

THE CLARKE MEMORIAL HALL, BORRISOKANE
Christmas Concerts from Kings College Cambridge & the Concert Hall in Vienna, with all your favourite Carols & Songs beautifully sung in magnificent surroundings on Sunday 18th December at 3 pm. Admission is €5. All welcome, a great way to get into the Christmas Spirit.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION IN NENAGH
Christmas is a symbol of union, joy and community. Please don’t feel alone this Christmas. A Christmas celebration to include dinner will be hosted in Nenagh on Christmas day. There is no charge, all food and services have been provided on a voluntary basis. Please join us. KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Date for your Diary. – Friday, January 13th 2017 at 8pm in the Pavillion Ballinderry, John Flannery will give a talk on the Famous Denis ‘Sonny’ O’Neill and his connection to the killing of Michael Collins at Beal na mBlath in Co Cork in August 1922. Not to be missed.

KILBARRON WALKERS
The walkers are taking a well deserved break until the New Year. Well done to all who have turned up on the nights, it’s great to see so many enjoying the hour of exercise and friendly banter. We hope you have a happy and relaxing Christmas, don’t over indulge too much!!! See you all again in early January.

USED CLOTHING COLLECTION
The Parents Association of Kilbarron N.S. wishes to thank all who have supported our used clothing collection during 2016. The bags have been collected from the school so we will not be accepting any more bags at this time.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,500. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
