KILBARRON HALL MEETING
Kilbarron hall committee will hold a meeting in Kilbarron hall at 8.15pm on Friday 17th February to discuss the condition of the hall in general and to plan future hall improvements/developments. We invite all members of the public as well as all schools, clubs ,groups & societies in the parish to attend as it is our vision that any future developments/improvements to the hall will be to the benefit of all the parish groups, so the more ideas and submissions to the meeting on the night the better the eventual outcome.

TERRYGLASS IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATION
The AGM will be held on Tuesday 21st February at 8pm in the Village Hall. All residents of Terryglass are welcome to attend and new members are welcome to join our small but active Group. We hope to have many new ideas and proposals for further improvements to our village, having achieved “Best Kept Village 2016” in the all Ireland competition, we hope that a special effort this year will achieve success again in the Tidy Towns Competition. TERRYGLASS SCHOOL ENROLMENT
Parents who wish to enrol their children in Terryglass N.S. for September 2017 can do so by contacting the school at 067 22269 on or before Wednesday, February 22nd.

KILBARRON SCHOOL ENROLMENT
Parents who wish to enrol their children in Kilbarron N.S. for September 2017 are invited to the enrolment night in the school on Mon 27th Feb from 7pm to 7.30pm

TERRYGLASS CEMETERY

SOCIABLE LADIES
The Aglish Sociable Ladies Club presents Kundalini Yoga – Detox and Destress with Ana Alves-Smyth. The 6 week course will start on Saturday February 18th at 10am in Aglish Hall. CHURCH NEWS
RECENT BAPTISMS
We welcome Joseph Edward Cleary and Holly Catherine Hennessy who were baptised recently in Terryglass Church into our Christian Community. Joseph is son of Joe and Andrea Cleary, Terryglass and Holly is daughter is of Michael and Laura Hennessy, Limerick.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION 2017:
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered by Bishop Fintan in Kilbarron Church on Sunday May 21st 2017 at 11am. First Holy Communion takes place as follows: Kilbarron – Sunday April 30th at 11am Terryglass – Sunday May 7th at 11am.
VOLUNTEERS
If anyone would like to have their name added to a contact list of volunteers to assist with Church events/ceremonies (e.g. ushers, assist with parking, cleaning etc) during the year could they please contact a member of the Parish Pastoral Council or Fr. Michael.
TIME FOR A NEW CHALLENGE?
Volunteer as a Facilitator with ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care Service If you feel that you have something to offer to couples who are preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage and you are willing to give up some voluntary time to train in this area then we, in the ACCORD Nenagh Centre, would be delighted to hear from you. SHANNON ROVERS CAMOGIE CLUB
We will hold an auction on Sunday March 12that 2pm in Kilbarron to raise funds to help run the club. We are asking for help in this fundraising initiative. A cake sale and lucky dip draw will also take place throughout the day. We are looking for your ideas and your help, and remember that many hands make light work! We would like to be able to auction short term services (2 to 3 hours) for painting, plumbing, car servicing etc. along with trailer loads of turf and timber. Also if anyone wants to donate trees, trailer loads of timber or turf etc, please contact Ger Leenane 087 6682475, John Cahalan 087 2869269 or any member of the camogie club.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh, Ardcroney, Borrisokane, Ballinderry andBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
