SHANNON RANGERS FC
Shannon Rangers kicked off this weekend with the u/13’s in Ballinderry on Saturday v Shinrone, but after a spirited display lost 3-0 to the visitors, hard luck lads.
On Sunday the junior team travelled up to play Lough Derg (b) in the Tipperary Cup and came away with a great 4-3 win, on what was a wet morning and a heavy pitch. The Rangers went ahead through a Keith Kelly penalty and the second came from that man, John Flannery, which had us 2-2 at half time. Then in the second half Lough Derg went 3-2 up but the Rangers were not finished and Keith Kelly got their third goal with a monster free kick and before the end Ross Burke stole a winner with a brave header from a corner, well done lads , we face Lough Derg (a) at home in the next round.
