The death occurred, on January 18th of Oonah White Spunner, The Cottageg, Ballinderry. Sympathy is extended to her relatives and friends.

COME COOK WITH US
There has been a fantastic response to the ‘COME COOK WITH US’ event in aid of Ballinderry Sportsfield, which will be held in Coolbawn Quay on Friday, February 6th at 8pm. This is a ticket only event, and with more than 90% of the tickets already sold , it will surely be a night not to be missed, filled with cooking, craic agus ceol! Top Raffles Prizes for the night have been announced! – 1st prize: 2 nights stay and an evening meal in the luxurious Druid’s Glen Hotel & Resort, County Wicklow . 2nd Prize: 1 night’s stay in the beautiful Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

KILBARRON DRAMA GROUP – Help Needed
Rehearsals are well underway for this year’s production of J.B Keane’s comedy, Moll which goes on stage on March 6, 7 and 8 in Kilbarron Hall.
We are looking for help to build and decorate the set – so if you could spare a few hours in the evening and are handy with a hammer, saw or even a paint brush you would be most welcome. Please join the back stage crew in the hall this Thursday, January 29th at 8.30pm.

KILBARRON DEFIBRILLATOR
The defibrillator which was purchased from the proceeds of the Kilbarron Church 200 celebrations has been installed in the village.
Presentation of certificates to all those who recently completed the Emergency First Responder course takes place on Friday, January 30th in Hannigan’s at 9pm. All are welcome.

GAME NIGHT REVISITED… Cheque Presentation & Thank You Night!
Terryglass Kilbarron Game & Conservation Club will present the cheque of €3848.60 to St. Dypmna’s Portumna as a result of our Wild Food Night Fundraiser held last November. This will take place in Paddy’s Bar Friday 30th January at 9pm. All Welcome.

KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society would like to remind everyone that membership fees for the 2015 year have been due for a number of months now. It is only through our annual membership fees that the Society is able to cover costs such as insurances, membership to the confederation of local history societies, the ability to invite guest speakers, plan annual outings etc. This is a vital income to the Society that allows it to plan for the coming year.
The Society would ask that all those who wish to remain members of the society and have yet to pay their 2015 subscription do so by the 15th February 2015. Membership fees remain the same and are great value at €25 for Families, €20 for adult and €15 for students.
Payment can be made to any committee member of the Society.

LOWER ORMOND CYCLING CLUB
The Lower Ormond Cycling club are looking for new members. Based in Borrisokane, the club includes and welcomes members from all the surrounding areas. If you have an interest in cycling and would like to cycle as part of an organised group on a regular basis, we’d like to hear from you. Our first outing will be Sun Feb 1st meeting at Library in Borrisokane at 9.30am. Beginners welcome and will be catered for with shorter routes. Helmets are compulsory. 30TH ANNIVERSARY PRODUCTION FOR RATHCABBIN PLAYERS
Lines Open. – The phone line to book your seats for Rathcabbin Players three act comedy ‘Wild Goose Chase’ 30th Anniversary production is now open on (087) 2360 096. The play will be staged in Rathcabbin Hall from Friday 30th January to Sunday Feb. 1st and from Thursday Feb. 5th to 8th incl. at 8.30pm sharp. As there is great interest in this play, you are advised to book early to secure your seat.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Do you want to be a member of a team in Relay for Life Tipperary in Toomevara GAA club in August this year? A 24-hour walking relay, that raises funds in support of the fight against cancer. It gives communities a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember lost loved ones, and fight back against the disease. If so, teams Chairperson Sarah Guilfoyle wants to talk to you. Sarah is looking forward to working on this brilliant event, getting the teams on board, and supporting them through their journey. The Teams play such a crucial role in the event, they walk in relays for 24 hours, they raise funds for the event as well as participating in games, activities and competitions throughout the event. LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The first outing of 2015 will take place on Monday 16th February to The Derg, Terryglass, for a meal and an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The meal choice is either beef or sea trout and dessert of cherry trifle or rice, the subsidized cost is €10 and names to Jimmy Donnelly067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066.
The club meets each Monday from2-4pm in the Church of Ireland Hall, Borrisokane for exercises for older people, bingo chat and refreshments. Transport from the surrounding available.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,800. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surroundingsurrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/Ballinderryand Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
