CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES

Christmas Eve by Candle light: Kilbarron – 7pm and Terryglass – 9pm
Christmas Day- Family Masses: Terryglass – 9.30am and Kilbarron – 11am
THE CHRISTMAS RECONCILIATION SERVICE takes place on Mon. 21st Dec.at 8pm in St Peter & Paul’s Church, Borrisokane. It will be led by newly ordained native of Birr Fr Michael Geraghty and as usual a number of priests will be available for confession All choirs invited to join us as we will also be marking the year of Mercy with the singing of the Mercy hymn.
CHRISTMAS CHOIR PRACTICE
In Kilbarron Church on Mon. 14th Dec at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
In Terryglass Church on Tues 15th Dec. at 8pm. All are welcome

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations and happy birthday to Nora Coen who recently celebrated a ‘big birthday’ with family and friends. Also, huge congratulations to Nora and Pat Holland who got engaged over the past weekend.

TERRYGLASS SCHOOL
Join the children of Terryglass School on Monday December 21st at 7pm in Terryglass Church for some Christmas Carols, music and reflection on the Nativity.

PANTO IN KILBARRON
Finishing touches are currently being put on the hilarious and family friendly ‘Cinderella’ panto which will be staged in Kilbarron over the weekend of January 9th. It promises to be a great evening’s entertainmet, with director Phil Quigley trying to transform the Ugly Sisters and help the Fairy Godmother redeem the Wicked Stepmother. The Panto showcases the wonderful local talent, young and not so young! More details next week.

THE KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY

We have commenced the process of compiling an annual Historical Society Journal. It is planned to have the first edition published for St. Patricks Day 2016. The Society are seeking contributions of articles, stories, photographs, memories, recipes, superstitions, sayings, folklore etc which people would like to be considered for the Journal. A large and doesn’t make the final copy will be held on file for future journal consideration. Anyone that has something that they wish to contribute can pass on to any member of the committee or email to the address below. The society has set up a designated email for all contributions: ktjournal9@gmail.com
BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
