TERRYGLASS ARTS FESTIVAL
This years Arts Festival runs from Wednesday August 17 th to Sunday 21 st . There is a very exciting programme of events, ranging from workshops to visual arts to live music in the village and of course the fireworks display on the Saturday evening. Among the highlights this year are , ‘Charolais’ a dark comedy in Terryglass Village Hall on Thursday 18 th , the Gala concert on Friday 19 th in Terryglass church featuring Rebecca Storm and the family fun day on Sunday 21th. There really is something for everyone. Tickets for all events are now available and early booking is advised. KILBARRON AND TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Historical Society is proposing to do a walk and talk of Carney Commons on Sunday August 28th from 4pm. This will take in the history, heritage, flora, fauna and times growing up in the area etc. Please note that this walk is very weather dependent as dry weather is essential therefore it may be necessary to cancel the walk at short notice. More details to follow closer to the date. A preliminary date of September 16th has been set for the AGM.

This year’s festival takes place from 15th-18th September. There is Bingoo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,500. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
