COFFEE MORNING FOR MILFORD HOSPICE
Bridie O’Meara and friends will hold a ‘Coffee Morning’ at her home in Ballinderry this Thursday 18th September from 10am-4pm. All proceeds will go to Milford Hospice, Limerick. Please come and join us for a cup of coffee or tea and sample the home baked cakes and tarts while supporting this worthwhile cause. If you are unable to attend a donation may be given to Bridie.

BALLINDERRY INITIATIVE
There will be a meeting in the Tearooms, Ballinderry, this Thursday 18th September, at 8pm, and present on the night will be Mary Fogarty and Maeve O’Hair, from Loughmore Community Co-Operative who will be speaking on their successful setting up of a community co-op and giving the benefit of their experience to a similar co-op shop and tearoom in Ballinderry.
As many people as possible are asked to come and support this important meeting.

KILBARRON DRAMA GROUP
Kilbarron Drama Group AGM takes place in the Old School Hall, Kilbarron, on Monday 22nd September at 9pm.
All are welcome as we prepare for next year’s play.

DEATH
The death of Mary Gavin, nee Tierney, formerly of Killeen, Terryglass, occurred recently in Hull, England.

JUMBLE SALE
The Charity Jumble Sale in Terryglass Community Hall on Halloween bank-holiday Saturday approaches and now is the time to start collecting saleable items e.g. bric-a-brac, books, toys, clothes in good condition, plants or any saleable items. This year there is a new formula, the organisers are offering people the opportunity to make a donation to the charity the sale is run for and in return they may run a table or half table for their own cause.

TIDY TOWNS
Congratulations are extended to to Terryglass on again scoring high points to achieve 2nd. place and a silver medal in the Tidy Towns Awards North Tipperary Category.
Congratulations also to Kilbarron on its high points

COMMUNITY ALERT
The Tip of the Week –is to improve security when out and about. Keep wallets and purses out of sight, hand or shoulder bags should be held close to the body and not dangling by the strap.
Keep cash to a minimum and only carry credit/debit cards that are needed and be alert when parking and getting out of your vehicle.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 .

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The next outing of the Lower Ormond Active Retirement is on Monday 29th September when the club will travel to Newbridge, departing from Borrisokane at approximately 10.15am.
Our annual Bric-a Brac will be held on Monday 13th October.
