KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Archaeologist with The National Monuments Service Caimin O’Brien will be the guest speaker at the next Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society talk on Friday 21st April at 8pm in the Pavilion, Ballinderry. Caimin will be giving an illustrated talk on Medieval Terryglass. This will be followed by a guided walk on Saturday morning from 11am (rain or shine!!) looking at the medieval monuments of the village. This is a fantastic opportunity for young and old to learn about the medieval monuments on their doorstep. Not to be missed !!

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
Our next outing is on Monday 24th April to the Arboretum, lifestyle and garden centre, Co Carlow.

IRISH CANCER SOCIETY
The annual church gate collection for the Irish Cancer Society will be held at both Masses next weekend, Saturday 22 April at 8pm in Kilbarron and Sunday April 23 at 10am in Terryglass. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

NORTH TIPP. ALZHEIMER SOCIETY

There will be a meeting of our Support Group in our Office at 3a, Ormond Court, Summerhill, Nenagh on Wednesday 26th. April at 11am. Families and/or carers of people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s are invited to come along and receive information and support and also meet other carers, have a chat and a “cuppa”. This meeting is not for Dementia/Alzheimer’s sufferers- it is strictly for families and/or carers only. For more information contact Mary: 086.6099414 or Aileen: 087.2076814.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT
Nenagh will host its Darkness Into Light walk in the early hours of Saturday May 6th. Departing Nenagh College at 4am, taking in the by-pass, Gortlandroe and back to Nenagh College via the Castle. For

We welcome Molly Josephine Heffernan into our Christian Community. Molly was recently baptised in KilbarronChurch, and is daughter of Brian and Maureen Heffernan, Carney.

Bramble Art Exhibition
Portumna library is hosting a children’s art exhibition of creations by the students of Ute Duggan “Bramble Art” from April 8th to 22nd. All welcome.

CRÈ MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Principal of Coláiste Phobal Roscrea, Mr. Michael O’ Connor invites you to support their Sports Field Development fund by attending Cré Music Festival on April 30th next on the school grounds in Roscrea.
The Stunning, The Riptide Movement and Jake Carter are some of the head lining acts on the day with many more local acts supporting them with gates open at 3.30pm. All details regarding the festival are available on www.cremusicfestival.com Tickets are priced at €25 each or €60 for a family ticket of two adults and two children. Tickets are available from the school office, on the website or from Supermac’s stores in Roscrea, Nenagh, Portlaoise, Thurles, Obama Plaza Moneygall, and the Tipperary Town Plaza. BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh, Ardcroney, Borrisokane, Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
