SHANNON RANGERS FC
There was no action for our U/13’s and U/16’s last weekend only training to occupy the lads, both games were called off. The junior team was at home again, this time v’s Moneygall in the league, on Sunday morning. After a slow start in which Moneygall went a goal up Rangers had to battle for everything in this tough encounter. The same could be said about the second half and Shannon Rangers had to struggle to get on top, the introduction of Keith Kelly to mid field from the goals helped the cause and Stephan Nevin filled the goal keeping position with ease and pulled off a brilliant save. Eventually Rangers got the break through when Barry Cahalan volleyed home a cracker, followed soon by “you guessed it” John Flannery with a swinging corner which found the net. With four games left in the league now it’s up to the lads to dig deep and finish strong.
Training/fixtures will be sent by text.
