FUNDRAISER FOR AUTISM CENTRE
Borrisokane Community College Parents Association will hold another fundraising night in The Derg, Terryglass on Friday November 29th. The theme is ‘An Eastern Food Night’ and a stunning array of eastern dishes to suit all tastes will be available and all free. There is an ongoing Monster Raffle for a Peugeot 308, with tickets €5 each, with three for €10 and a full book of six tickets for €20. The draw will take place on December 31st. The Autism Centre in Borrisokane Community College is the only one of its kind at secondary level in North Tipperary. So please come along to the Derg and support this cause.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS
Birthday greetings are extended to Maureen Hayes, Boherleigh, Carney, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday with her family. We wish her many more years of health and happiness.

DEATH
The death has occurred of Peter Keane, Bunatobar, Carney, sympathy is extended to his relatives.

SHANNON ROVERS BOOK-PAST TO PRESENT
The recently published pictorial book on the Shannon Rovers by Frank Moran has been sold out, however he has been approached by several people looking for copies and in the circumstances has decided to order a further reprint. With this in mind Frank would be grateful if there are other people wanting a copy of the book, or wanting it as a suitable Christmas present to please contact him as soon as possible on 087 2463811.

LADIES CHRISTMAS NIGHT OUT
The annual Ladies Christmas Night Out will take place in Brocka on the Water on Friday 6th December at 8.30pm. Limited places are available, for information and booking please contact Marcella McKenna 087 6879502

DRAMA
The Puckane and Carrig Drama group are staging a three act comedy ‘Too Close to Home’ on November 28th/29th /30th in Ballycommon. The comedy is written by Jimmy Keary and directed by Michael O’Meara. A couple of members of the Kilbarron Drama Group feature in the cast and would be glad of your support.

CHURCH NEWS
November Station Masses are in Kilbarron this Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm and in Terryglass on Sunday 24th November at 9.30am. During the Station Mass we will give thanks for the harvest and for the blessings that we receive

CHRISTMAS POP UP SHOP
Our festive pop up shop opens this Saturday 23rd November and will be open every weekend up to Christmas. We have an array of Food products, Crafts, Arts, Toys and gifts on offer. A free gift wrapping service will be provided with donations welcome for the Autism Centre in Borrisokane Community College. A range of tasty seasonal treats and old fashioned leaf tea will be available in the tearooms.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The Tip of the Week is to be a good neighbour. We recognise that one of the best means of crime prevention is to be a good neighbour. This is someone who will keep an eye on your house when you are away and will take care to ensure that everything is well.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The annual Christmas Party will be held in the Church of Ireland Hall, Borrisokane on Monday 9th December at 1pm. The menu choice is either Turkey and Ham or cod and for dessert Christmas pudding, trifle or chocolate gateau. There will be a hot drink on your arrival and the meal will be followed by music from Margaret and Rita and Seanie and dancing.
