CONFIRMATION
Congratulations are extended to the fifteen young people of Terryglass and Kilbarron, Roisin Fox, Chantelle Sage, Ciara Slattery, Michael Carroll, Marcus Esmonde, Conal Moran, John O’Meara, Ray O’Meara, Adam Slattery, Michael Slattery, Katie Corboy, Aisling Walsh, Finn Chambers, Harry Chambers and Matthew Tierney.who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Fr. Michael last Sunday, in Kilbarron. Congratulation to everyone involved in making the whole event such a memorable occasion.

TERRYGLASS ARTS FESTIVAL
The annual general meeting of Terryglass Arts Festival will be held on Thursday 6th June at 8pm in Terryglass Community Hall. Everyone is invited to attend and the organisers would be happy to see new people getting involved.

DEATHS
The death occurred on 13th May of Thomas (Brud) Hough, Borrisokane formerly of Shragh. Sympathy is extended to his wife, family, relatives and friends. The death occurred on 13th May of Josie Comerford, Borrisokane, formerly Carroll of Lisquillabeen. Sympathy is extended to her family, relatives and friends. The death has also taken place of Fr. Paddy O’Carroll, Garyard and New York.

TERRYGLASS ICA
The monthly meeting of Terryglass ICA Guild took place on Wednesday 1st May in Terryglass Community Hall. Votes of sympathy were extended to all families who had bereavements since our last meeting and a minutes silence was observed. The secretary gave a report on the Federation meeting in Ballingarry. A group of members recently attended the 50th birthday celebrations of Clougjordan ICA. It was a most enjoyable evening with great entertainment and a lovely supper.
Our next meeting will take place a week later than normal on Wednesday 12th June at 8pm, and this will be the last meeting before the summer break. Hostesses for the night are Bridie Cahalan and Mary Quirke.

KILBARRON TIDY TOWNS
If you can spare some time on a Monday evening please come along to the village around 7.30pm, all help would be much appreciated in preparing Kilbarron village for the forthcoming competition. People are asked to be vigilant about litter left around the village.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’- In one out of three burglaries, entry is through the front door. Almost a quarter of burglaries take place between mid-day and 4pm with Thursdays and Fridays the most likely day for a burglary to take place, so be vigilant.
Over a third of our road deaths occur over the summer months so please be aware and use our roads safely at all times.

SHANNON ROVERS CUL CAMP
Shannon Rovers Cul Camp 2013 will run from 15th -19th July and is open to boys and girls from 6-13 years of age. For further information contact Tommy Hogan 087 2444092.

TERRYGLASS IMPROVEMENTS ASSOC.
Terryglass Improvements Assoc. would welcome any helpers to join its evening ‘Spring Clean’. Participants meet in the village square every Tuesday at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome.

CHURCH NEWS
Sr. Mary Inglis, a Franciscan Missionary Sister for Africa , who has worked in Africa for many years, will speak at all Masses this weekend. She will give first hand information on her work and your prayers and financial support would be much appreciated.
The Mass on Saturday 1st June at 8pm in Terryglass is a special Mass for all our exam students.
The Annual Parish Novena to the Sacred Heart will take place from May 30th to Friday 7th June, further details next week.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 and €50 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area, i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.
