KILBARRON CHURCH 200
To celebrate the bi-centenary of Kilbarron Church a series of events are being planned for the weekend June 13th –June 15th. On the Friday James Kilbane will perform a concert in the Church, on the Saturday there will be an historical walking tour, followed by cross-roads dancing in the village. On the Sunday there will be Mass celebrated by Bishop Kieran followed by a Family Fun Day.
If you would like to be involved in the organisation of this weekend you would be most welcome to the next meeting this Wednesday 22nd January at 8pm in the Old School Hall, Kilbarron.

TERRYGLASS ICA
The monthly meeting of Terryglass ICA Guild took place on Wednesday 4th December in Terryglass Community Hall. Votes of sympathy were passed with the Rooney family, Terryglass, on the death of Michael and with Bridie Cahalan on the death of her cousin in Co. Clare. A minutes silence was observed. Members attended the Federation Christmas Party in The Thatch, on Dec 16th, where they enjoyed an excellent meal followed by music played by Seanie Gleeson. On Dec.3rd members went to a beautiful Christmas Party organised by Ballingarry ICA.
The next meeting is on Wednesday 5th February at 8pm, hostesses for the night are Margaret Molloy and Nuala Guest. New members are always welcome.

WELCOME
We welcome into our parish Jane Kerin, who was recently baptised.

RATHCABBIN PLAYERS
Rathcabbin Players present ‘Poor Beast in the Rain’ by playwright Billy Roche, from Friday night 24th Jan. to Sunday night 26th Jan. and from Thursday night 30th Jan. to Sunday night 2nd Feb. in Rathcabbin Hall. The booking line is now open between 6-9pm daily. The number is (087) 2360096.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING
Real Christmas trees will be accepted for re-cycling free of charge at the Nenagh Recycling Centre during opening hours from Tuesday 7th  January until Saturday 25th January, inclusive.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The Tip of the Week is – Be conscious of securing your home , most day time break-in attempts take place in unoccupied homes. Have suitable locks fitted to all windows and deadlocks to all entry doors. Engage them when you leave your home.

KILBARRON OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Kilbarron Operation Transformation continues each Tuesday night with circuit training in Kilbarron Hall on Tuesdays at 7.45pm. New members welcome.

CHURCH NEWS
The next ritual of the First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, January 26th at the 11am Mass in Kilbarron
There will be a meeting of all parents/guardians of children making their Confirmation, on Monday 27th January at 7.30pm in Kilbarron School Hall.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.
