SYMPATHY
The death occurred on Saturday August 12th of Nonie Corrigan, Kilbarron and formerly Navan Rd. Dublin. We extend our deepest sympathy to her daughters Anne, Margaret, Brigid, Mary, Clare and Patricia, their families, her relations and many friends. Funeral Mass for Nonie was held in Kilbarron Church on Tuesday August 15th at 12noon with burial in Kilbarron cemetery. May she rest in Peace.
The death of Noel (Joxer) Fleming, Ballinderry occurred on Tuesday August 15th in Tullamore Hospital. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Geraldine, his brothers Michael and Frankie, his sisters Betty, Ina, Patty and Connie and their families, his relatives and many friends. Funeral Mass for Joxer was held in Kilbarron Church on Friday August 18th with burial in Kilbarron cemetery. May he rest in Peace.
TERRYGLASS ARTS FESTIVAL
Well done to the organisers of the 19th Terryglass Arts Festival on another spectacular event. We appreciate all the hard work that goes in to keeping this festival going every year and all the volunteers who give their time so freely. Looking forward to the 20th Festival next year.
BALLINDERRY SPORTSFIELD LOTTO
The weekly Lotto goes to the continued upkeep and maintenance of the Pavilion and Sportsfield. We are asking that all parents, guardians and players over 18 years would contribute €2 per week to the Lotto, either to the officers of each club each week, or if you wish you may pay by ‘Top Up’ – yearly, 6 monthly or on a monthly basis. BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh, Ardcroney, Borrisokane, Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
