KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
As part of the 1916 centenary the Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society will be laying a wreath at the Remembrance Tree in the little wood walk after 10am mass in Terryglass on Easter Sunday morning. All welcome to come along and attend. The Society would also sincerely like to thank all those who made the launch of our first Historical Journal such a success on St. Patrick’s Day. We also thank all those who assisted and contributed to the exhibition on the life of Patrick Hough from Slevoir. The Historical Society sincerely thanks John Flannery of the Ormond Historical Society who delivered a very informative lecture on the 1916 Rising to a full house in Ballinderry on Friday 18th March. Special thanks goes to Julia Warren who told everyone about her great grandfather Michael Staines who was quartermaster General in the GPO on Easter Monday.

NORTH TIPP. ALZHEIMER SOCIETY
There will be a meeting of our Support Group in our Office at 3a, Ormond Court, Summerhill, Nenagh on Wednesday 30th. March at 11am. Families and/or carers of people with Dementia/Alzheimers are invited to come along and receive information and support and also meet other carers, have a chat and a “cuppa”. Good Friday – Kilbarron: 3pm. Celebration of the Lord’s Passion.
Terryglass: 7.30pm. Stations of the Cross.
Holy Saturday – Kilbarron 8pm. Easter Vigil.
Easter Sunday – Dawn Mass: Skehana 7am. (New Time)
For safety and convenience of parking please come in by Coolbawn and home by Luska.
Easter Sunday Morning Mass – Terryglass: 10am.

KILBARRON DRAMA GROUP
After two great performances last weekend, the Drama Group will put on this year’s production of ‘Happy Birthday Dear Alice’ at 8pm on Good Friday, March 25th. Doors open at 7.30pm. This two act comedy is not to be missed.

RECENT BAPTISM
We welcome Emily Mary Murphy into our Christian Community. Emily is daughter of Dermot and Ciara, Cappanasmear, Borrisokane and was baptised in Terryglass church.

SHANNON ROVERS CAMOGIE CLUB USED CLOTHING COLLECTION
The Club is organizing a clothing collection as part of this year’s fundraising events. They are looking for your used clothing, shoes, linens, household textiles, stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean). Bags may be dropped off in the square in Terryglass from 9 – 9.30am Thursday mornings and also at any of the camogie training sessions.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
