IRISH CANCER SOCIETY COLLECTION
There will be a Church Gate Collection at all Masses in Terryglass and Kilbarron this weekend Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April. Your continued generous support for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

GOOD WISHES
Our good wishes are extended to the children of Kilbarron and Terryglass who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Kieran O’Reilly in Kilbarron Church at 11am this Sunday, 29th April. We wish them and their families a very special day.

MASS TIME CHANGES FOR THIS WEEKEND
Mass time changes for this weekend are as follows: Terryglass Sunday 9.30am and Kilbarron Saturday 8pm and Sunday Confirmation Day 11am.

SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to Breda O’Donoghue, Bellevue, on the recent death of her mother Bridget Ryan, Upperchurch, who was 100 years old.

MAYFLY
The fishermen of our locality will be glad to know that the Mayfly is up on Lough Derg.

SHANNON RANGERS FC
As you may be aware Shannon Rangers committee sent out forms to the schools to try to ascertain how many children in the parish would be interested in playing soccer at underage level with the club. If your child or children or yourself are interested in this research please do not hesitate to contact the club on 087 3110422. Also the club would like to congratulate Theresa O’Meara who received her prize jersey last Friday as winner of our club logo competition held after Christmas. Well done Theresa.

KILBARRON DRAMA GROUP

ALZHEIMER’S TEA DAY
The Alzheimer’s Tea Day will be held on Thursday 3rd May and you are invited to a ‘cup of tea and chat’ to help raise money for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, in Aileen Cahalan’s, Curnamult, Terryglass, from 7pm onwards. Every euro raised at our party will go to the continuation of services in Nth. Tipperary. All are most welcome.

TERRYGLASS ICA
The monthly meeting of Terryglass ICA Guild took place in Terryglass Community Hall on Wednesday 11th April and was the AGM with Anne Clarke, Information Specialist, in attendance. Votes of sympathy were expressed with all families who had bereavements since our last meeting. A minutes silence was observed. The next Federation meeting will be in Kilcommon on 25th April and some members will attend.
The following new officers were elected: President Suchada (Noi) Baalham, Vice-President Gerardine Wisdom, Secretary Nuala Guest.
Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 2nd May at 8pm and the annual fees are due at the meeting. Hostesses for the night are Annette Cahalan and Nora O’Donoghue.

SHANNON ROVERS GOLFING SOCIETY
The first outing of 2012 for the Rovers Golfing Society will take place on Saturday 28th April at Roscrea Golf Course and tee time is 12-1.00pm. For further information please contact Donal Hourigan at 087 2374742.

PILATES CLASSES
Pilates classes continue on Wednesday nights in the Pavilion, Ballinderry. Payment nightly. Beginners welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’- Cash and Financial Security. Thieves and burglars like nothing better than cash, it is important to observe the following as far as possible. Do not keep large amounts of cash in the home. Keep credit and debit cards in a secure location, including bank and other financial books and statements. Old and out of date credit and debit cards should be properly disposed of. Do not give your credit or debit card password to anyone and when out and about avoid having large sums of money on your person.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 and €50 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 083 4007748 or 067 21988.

RURAL TRANSPORT
A bus is available to take parishioners from Coolbawn, Ballinderry and Terryglass to the Saturday 8pm Mass in Terryglass and departs from Kilbarron at 7.15pm.  For further information or to book a place please contact Loretta Tiernan 067 28066 or Mary Tierney 28167
The bus to Nenagh each Thursday departs Paddy’s, Terryglass at 10am, Ballinderry 10.10, Coolbawn (Molamphy’s) 10.20 arriving in Nenagh at 11am. The bus returns from Nenagh at 2.10pm .We urge you to consider availing of these services, which are free to Travel Pass holders. The bus operator is Ken Daly 083 4007748 or 067 21988 or if you require more information on any route please contact Louise 067 27088. A bus travels each Friday from Nenagh via Borrisokane and Ballingarry to Bingo in Birr.
A bus also travels to Borrisokane each Monday departing from Terryglass around 1pm, via Ballinderry, Coolbawn and Carney Commons and arrives at 2pm and departs for home at 4pm. Services are door to door and booking can be made by contacting Ken Daly.
