THE LATE JAMES BOYLE
The death has occurred of Jimmy Boyle, Drominagh, sympathy is extended to the Boyle families.

SHANNON RANGERS FC
The junior U/16’s had no game at the weekend, but the U/13’s played their second game of the season away to the Silvermines last Saturday morning and came away with a well deserved draw on a score line of 2-2. Rangers went 1-0 with an excellent Adam Slattery goal, then Silvermines drew level and then went ahead, but Harry Chambers slotted home to equalise and make to 2-2. Well done lads.
Training/fixtures will be sent via text. All players and members registration/insurance to be paid a.s.a.p.

TERRYGLASS ICA
The monthly meeting of Terryglass ICA Guild took place on Wednesday 5th September in Terryglass Community Hall. Votes of sympathy were passed with the Hyland family on the death of Mollie and to all other families who had bereavements since our last meeting. Members were deeply saddened by the death of fellow member Mollie, she will be a great loss to the ICA and to all who knew her.
Computer classes will soon be starting and are free to ICA members. Our President, Noi Suchada, presented the guild with an individually produced umbrella with the Terryglass ICA inscription printed on it.
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday October 3rd at 8pm. New members are especially welcome. Hostesses for the night are Biddy Gleeson and Nuala Guest.

THANK YOU
Midge O’Meara, Dessie Slattery and Seamus Donnelly would like to express their thanks to everyone who generously donated sponsorship to them for fundraising for the National Council for the Blind. The Challenge Motorbike Race in Scotland last May raised over €40,000.

RAMBLING HOUSE
The monthly Rambling House will take place on Thursday week, 4th October, in Una’s Tea Room, Riverun, Terryglass from 8-10pm. Please come and join us and bring along your stories, music and dance, or just come and listen. There will be a ‘Special Guest’ on the night. A cupan tae will be served and there is no charge.

SHANNON ROVERS CAMOGIE CLUB
Shannon Rovers Camogie Club has launched its own website on the back of becoming the County Intermediate League Champions for 2012. The new website has fixtures, results, new photographs, slideshows etc., and is well worth a visit. The site can be viewed at http:// www.shannonroverscamogie.com

BORRISOKANE ATHLETIC CLUB
Borrisokane Athletic Club will hold a ‘Race Night’ hosted by Aidan Mac in MacAogains this Saturday night, 29th September. The first race is at 8pm. Your support for the club would be greatly appreciated.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC CLASSES
Traditional Music Classes have resumed in Terryglass Hall on Thursdays. Instruments include the fiddle, flute and tin whistle. Beginners and improvers of all ages are welcome. For more details contact John on 087 2869269.

PILATES CLASSES
Pilates Classes with Geri resume this Thursday, 20th September, in Kilbarron Hall at 8pm. Beginners always welcome.

JUMBLE SALE
Time is ticking to that special yearly event the Halloween Charity Jumble Sale. Any saleable items such as bric-a-brac, books, toys, plant, pictures, etc., would be most welcome. Also items suitable for raffle prizes.
Volunteers needed and willing help greatly appreciated especially for the preparation of the sale and the clean-up afterwards.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’- in any one year up to 90,000 can fall victim to identity fraud, so keep the following advice in mind. Shred bills and documents before throwing them out. Check your bank statements and bills carefully. Report missing driving licences and passports immediately.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 and €50 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.

RURAL TRANSPORT
A bus is available to take parishioners from Coolbawn, Ballinderry and Terryglass to the Saturday 8pm Mass in Terryglass and departs from Kilbarron at 7.15pm.  For further information or to book a place please contact Loretta Tiernan 067 28066 or Mary Tierney 28167
The bus to Nenagh each Thursday departs Paddy’s, Terryglass at 10am, Ballinderry 10.10, Coolbawn (Molamphy’s) 10.20 arriving in Nenagh at 11am. The bus returns from Nenagh at 2.10pm .We urge you to consider availing of these services, which are free to Travel Pass holders. The bus operator is Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988 or if you require more information on any route please contact Louise 067 27088. A bus travels each Friday from Nenagh via Borrisokane and Ballingarry to Bingo in Birr.
A bus also travels to Borrisokane each Monday departing from Terryglass around 1pm, via Ballinderry, Coolbawn and Carney Commons and arrives at 2pm and departs for home at 4pm. Services are door to door and booking can be made by contacting Ken Daly
