BACK TO SCHOOL
Terryglass school re-opens this Wednesday August 26th at 9am. Kilbarron school re-opens on Tuesday 1st September at 9.20am. Please note that pre-ordered Kilbarron school jumpers and tracksuits may be collected from the school between 10am and 1pm on Monday 31st August.

DOG SHOW SUCCESS
Well done to Noel and Sally Ann Teefey, Coolbawn who brought home rosettes from the Dog Show at the North Tipperary Agricultural Show in Nenagh earlier this month. Their beautiful Shelties – Oscar and Misty were placed in the Pairs class, while Oscar took a reserve rosette in the Rescue class.

CAMOGIE CLUB CALENDAR
The photo shoot for the Shannon Rovers Camogie Club calendar takes place in the field next Saturday 29th August at 4pm for players and mentors involved with teams from the 80s, through to the present day. If you were involved with of any these teams please attend.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
Our next outing is to Kilkenny on Monday 7th September. Those who wish to spend the afternoon in the city will be dropped there and others have requested a return visit to the Arboretum. You can make your choice on the day. The bus will leave Borrisokane at 10.15am. Names to Jimmy Donnelly 067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066.

VINTAGE DAY IN TERRYGLASS
The Terryglass/Kilbarron Enterprise Group has teamed up with The Borrisokane and District Vintage Club who are having their annual Thrashing and Vintage show in Terryglass village on the 13th of September. This promises to be a great event with something for all the family. Anybody or business interested in have a stall or stand at the show should contact Secretary Mary O Halloran (0879726016) or PRO Barry Cahalan (0872274789).

The Irish Heart Foundation wishes to thank all our parishioners who donated so generously to their recent Church Gate Collection in Kilbarron and Terryglass. Total collected €545.

CHURCH NEWS
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is now taking place each Wednesday in Kilbarron Church from 10am to 3pm, and 7pm to 8pm. All are welcome to drop in during these hours to say a quiet prayer.
CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
The Nenagh Rape Crisis Centre will hold a church gate collection at both Masses in the parish next weekend – Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th. Your support would be gratefully appreciated.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
