DEATH
The death has occurred of Jim Egan, Puckane, formerly Bellevue, Coolbawn. Sympathy is extended to his wife Mary and their family, to his brother Peter, Bellevue, Coolbawn and his sister Josie, Limerick.

FR. JOHN MOLLOY
Fr. John Molloy’s DVD on his missionary work in Ecuador is available in the Churches and in the Derg Shop, Terryglass and Hannigan’s, Kilbarron. There is no set cost, a donation at your discretion will always be appreciated.

FAMILY FUN WALK
There will be a Family Fun Walk this Sunday 4th November in aid of Irish Cancer Research. The three mile walk will commence from Hannigan’s, Kilbarron, at 3pm and is suitable for all family members. Refreshments will be available afterwards in Kilbarron Old School Hall. All are most welcome.

JUMBLE SALE
It was like walking into Aladdin’s cave at the charity Jumble Sale held in Terryglass Hall last weekend. There was an enormous array of items and the organisers would like to thank everyone who donated items, those who supported the sale and those who helped over the sale. Full details next week.

LOOKING BACK
It was this time twenty years ago that Terryglass Harbour was officially opened by Minister Noel Treacy, this new facility had mooring for over a hundred cruisers to cater for the increased boat traffic on Lough Derg.

TERRYGLASS ICA
Our next meeting is on Wednesday November 7th at 8pm, new members very welcome. Hostesses for the night are Bridie Cahalan and Mary Quirke.

RAMBLING HOUSE
The monthly ‘Rambling House’ will take place this Thursday 1st November in Una’s Tea Room, Riverrun, Terryglass from 8-10pm. Come and join us for music, song and stories and a cupan tae. All welcome and no charge. For further information contact Mairead on 086 4114225.

BOXERCISE
As part of a fitness regime Boxercise with Phil will take place in Kilbarron Hall each Wednesday from 8-9pm for the next six weeks. This is a great way to keep fit and improve muscles, it is open to everyone.
At present there is a group of 21 people locally taking part in ‘Operation Transformation’ to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and your sponsorship would be very welcome.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC CLASSES
Traditional Music Classes have resumed in Terryglass Hall on Thursdays. Instruments include the fiddle, flute and tin whistle. Beginners and improvers of all ages are welcome. For more details contact John on 087 2869269.

PILATES CLASSES
Pilates Classes with Geri have resumed on Thursdays, in Kilbarron Hall at 8pm. Beginners always welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’- is again in regard to cold calling, people are receiving calls from companies doing household surveys. Unless you know who you are speaking to do not give out details of the age group of the householders or whether you are living alone. Do not give out information that will allow them to know when the house is likely to be unoccupied.
Do not give these people any personal details, just put the phone down.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 and €50 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.

RURAL TRANSPORT
A bus is available to take parishioners from Terryglass, Ballinderry and Coolbawn to the Saturday 7.30pm Mass in Terryglass and departs from Terryglass at 6.50pm.  For further information or to book a place please contact Loretta Tiernan 067 28066 or Mary Tierney 28167
The bus to Nenagh each Thursday departs Paddy’s, Terryglass at 10am, Ballinderry 10.10, Coolbawn (Molamphy’s) 10.20 arriving in Nenagh at 11am. The bus returns from Nenagh at 2.10pm .We urge you to consider availing of these services, which are free to Travel Pass holders. The bus operator is Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988 or if you require more information on any route please contact Louise 067 27088. A bus travels each Friday from Nenagh via Borrisokane and Ballingarry to Bingo in Birr.
A bus also travels to Borrisokane each Monday departing from Terryglass around 1pm, via Ballinderry, Coolbawn and Carney Commons and arrives at 2pm and departs for home at 4pm. Services are door to door and booking can be made by contacting Ken Daly

CHURCH NEWS
Please note the change of Mass times: Kilbarron Saturday 7.30pm and Sunday 11am. Terryglass Sunday at 9.30am. All evening Masses for the winter time are at 7.30pm.
Cemetery Sunday in the parish will be this Sunday 4th November and times are as follows: Terryglass New Cemetery after 9.30am Mass, Kilbarron New Cemetery after 11am Mass and Kilbarron Old Cemetery immediately afterwards. Terryglass Old Cemetery 2pm, Finnoe 2.45pm.
The Remembrance Mass for the Holy Souls will be in Terryglass Church on Saturday 17th November. We will remember all those who have died since last November. If you would like a family member or friend who has died elsewhere during the year to be remembered on the night please submit their names in advance. Candles will be supplied and named for your loved ones and there will be an opportunity during Mass to bring them to the altar.
