LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT

SPORTSFIELD AGM
Ballinderry Sportsfield will hold its AGM at the pavilion on Friday 11th November at 8.00. All are welcome to attend.

CAMOGIE CLUB AGM
Shannon Rover Camogie Club AGM takes place on Saturday 19th November at 8.30pm in the Pavillion, Ballinderry. We look forward to seeing a lot of parents at the meeting. PANTO
Following the huge success of last years production, Kilbarron Hall Committee are delighted to say that this year’s Panto ‘Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs’ has been cast and that rehearsals are in full swing under the direction of Phil Quigley. With the show expected to go on stage during the first week of January, you can expect great laughs, and great entertainment for the young and the not so young!!

KILBARRON WALKERS
Now that the longer evenings are here why not come out and get a bit of exercise. The walkers will meet at 8pm in the village carpark. We intend walking 5 evenings per week, so come along any evening that suits you. Walkers of all ages and fitness levels welcome, just bring your hi-viz and a flashlamp. In addition to the walking, the local Tidy Towns committee have arranged a weekly weigh-in in Hannigans every Wednesday night after 9pm. This is an ideal opportunity to monitor your weight and blood pressure and see the benefits of the extra exercise – why not come along and join in. With only a few weeks to Christmas, you will be delighted with the new you!
WEEKLY WEIGH-IN Kilbarron Tidy Towns committee have organised a weekly weigh-in every Wednesday night after 9pm in Hannigans. Weight and blood pressure measured to monitor your progress.

RACE NIGHT
Kilbaron N.S. Parents Association are planning a Race Night in Hannigans on Saturday December 3rd as a fund raiser for the local school. Save the date as a great night’s entertainment is assured.

DEVELOPMENT PLANS
Tipperary Enterprise Board have organised a series of illustrated presentations in the Lower Ormond area to develop the potential of connecting the region with its diaspora. The second of these meeting will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 8pm in Lorrha Community Hall. All are welcome.

MASS TIME CHANGES FOR WINTER
Please note- All evening Masses at 7.30pm during Winter time.

CEMETERY SUNDAY IN OUR PARISH : SUNDAY 6th NOV.
Kilbarron New Cemetery after 10am Mass and Kilbarron Old Cemetery immediately afterwards. Terryglass New Cemetery : 2pm and Terryglass Old Cemetery immediately afterwards. Finnoe Cemetery : 3 pm.
Remembrance Mass for the Holy Souls – Terryglass Church on Saturday 12th November at 7.30pm. We will remember all those who have died in our Parish since last November . If you would like a family member or friend who died elsewhere during the year to be remembered on the night please submit their names in advance. Candles will be supplied for your loved ones and there will be an opportunity during Mass to bring the candles to the altar.
NEW ROTAS – for Eucharistic Ministers, Readers and Prayers of the Faithful in Kilbarron Church are available for collection in the Sacristy
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament continues in Kilbarron Church every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm and 7pm to 8pm. We invite all parishioners to drop in for a short while during that time to sit in the presence of Jesus.

SMALL COINS
Knigh United Girls Soccer club are collecting 1c and 2c coins. If you have any small coins lying around that you would be willing to donate, please contact Marcella at 087 6879502, or in Puckane to Trish at 087 6127478.

USED CLOTHING COLLECTION
Start collecting your used clothing, shoes, linens, household textiles, stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean). Bags may be dropped to Kilbarron school any Friday from now on. If you need to have your bags collected please contact Siobhan at 087 6986054.

BINGO
There is Bingoo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,500. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
