SYMPATHY
The death took place on November 26th of Maslyn Dennison, Carrigagowan, Carney. Sincere sympathy to his wife, Eileen, son Mervyn, daughters Valerie and Aideen, their families, sisters Beryl and Corinne and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

CHRISTMAS MARKET
Borrisokane Community College are holding a Christmas Market in the school on Thursday, December 4th 3-8pm. Over 40 Stalls with Christmas Gifts, Art& Crafts, Food and Drink, Face Painting and other Festive Surprises. All are welcome. Free Admission.

NORTH TIPP. ALZHEIMER SOCIETY
The next meeting of our Social Club will take place at our premises 3a Ormond Court, Summerhill, Nenagh on this Thursday 4th. December from 11am – 1pm. This is a very relaxed meeting where people with dementia and their families come together for a morning of chat, enjoy a cuppa, meet other carers, sing-a-long, cards and suitable activities. LORRHA PLAY – Lorrha Variety Group performs Mother Knows Best by Jimmy Keary and directed by Phil Quigley, in Lorrha hall this weekend December 5th, 6th and 7th. Curtains up at 8:30pm.

CHURCH NEWS
We welcome into our Christian community, James Patrick Donnelly who was baptised in Kilbarron recently. James is the son of Ciaran and Catriona Donnelly, Carney Commons.

CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS
Silvermines Folk Choir presents Candlelight Christmas an evening of Christmas music & song in Silvermines Church, with special guests Amadeus, Sunday 7th December at 8.00pm. Tickets €10. Tickets available from choir members and local businesses or phone 067 41322. Proceeds towards North Tipperary Hospice and local branch St. Vincent de Paul.

CHRISTMAS MARKET
The Old Church, Borrisokane will be holding a Christmas market on Saturday 13th December from 2-6pm. Stall are €10 each, contact Pamela 087-7523568 or Miriam 086-8941626 to book yours.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
At present we are collecting toys new and old in preparation for Christmas. The usuals are also accepted– Clothes, books, DVDs, CDs, school uniforms, jewellery, shoes, bags, furniture, paper and plastic bags. Any unwanted toys and other items can be dropped in to the shop 37/38 Mitchell Street, Nenagh, Monday to Saturday 10.00am-5.00pm. If needed we can also collect items. Our contact number is 067-31313. CHRISTMAS TREE OF REMEMBRANCE 2014
North Tipperary Hospice Movement Nenagh Branch are organising a 2014 Christmas tree of Remembrance to remember our deceased loved ones and families , we are placing books of remembrance in the Churches for people to insert the name of their loved ones to be remembered . The Tree will be placed on the steps of the Court House Banba Square Nenagh, the turning on of the Light ceremony will take place on Saturday 6th December at 4pm to Celebrate this occasion we will have an Ecumenical Service, a light will shine for each request .No Donations required.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Operation Transformation continues in Kilbarron with Boxercise classes in Kilbarron Hall on Tuesday nights from 8-9pm. The weekly ‘Weigh-in’ at Hannigan’s is on Wednesday nights at 9pm. So why not come along and join the fun while losing those extra lbs and getting fitter..

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The annual Christmas Party is on Monday 15th Dec. in The Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon at 1pm. Meal choice is Stuffed Turkey or Herbed Cod, with a Christmas Platter dessert. The meal will be followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The subsidized cost is €10 and names can be given to Jimmy Donnelly 067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,800. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
