SYMPATHY
The death occurred on May 16th of Jane Mitchell (nee Hickie) of France and formerly Slevyre House, Terryglass. Sympathy is extended to her husband, James, her mother Pauline, brothers William and A.G. relatives and friends.

TERRYGLASS CEMETERY
Maintenance fees for 2015 are now due. It is asked that same be forwarded to the Treasurer, John Mulvihill at the earliest opportunity.

KILBARRON TIDY TOWNS
Great work has been carried out in recent weeks around the village of Kilbarron in preparation for this year’s Tidy Towns competition. There will be a Litter Pick in conjunction with Tipp FM on Wednesday 3rd June from 7 to 9pm. All are welcome, meeting in the car-park at 7pm.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
Our next outing is on Monday 15th June, to The Thatched Cottage for a three course meal followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The menu choice is Lamb, Salmon or Turkey and Ham, dessert is cheesecake or strawberries and cream. The subsidized cost is €10 and names can be given to James Donnelly 067 38237 or Loretta Tiernan 28066. Our outing to Galway will take place on Monday 13th July.

CHURCH NEWS
FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION
The final Ritual takes place next Sunday, June 7th, the Feast of Corpus Christi, at 10am Mass in Terryglass. There will be a Procession at the end of Mass with the Blessed Sacrament to the High Cross concluding with Benediction.
ANNUAL PARISH NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART
Commences next Thursday 4th June. The programme is as follows –
Terryglass Church: Thursday 4th June : 8 – 8.45pm, and Friday 5th June: 7 – 7.45pm (before 1st Friday Mass)
Kilbarron Church: Saturday 6th June: Novena prayers at the end of Mass. Sunday 7th, Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th June : 8 – 8.45pm, Wednesday 10th June : 7 – 7.45pm (before Mass)
Terryglass Church; Thursday 11th June: 8 – 8.45pm, and Friday 12th June: 7 – 7.45pm followed by Mass at 8pm for the Feast of the Sacred Heart. The Novena will consist of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and during that time we will have the Rosary and the Novena Prayers. We hope as many people as possible will come for the full time, but if this is not convenient for you, please feel welcome to drop in any time and join in, even for five or ten minutes. All are welcome.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is now taking place each Wednesday in Kilbarron Church from 10am to 3pm, and 7pm to 8pm. While people have put down their names for each hour – all parishioners are welcome to drop in at any time during these hours to say a quiet prayer.

USED CLOTHING COLLECTION
Kilbarron National School Parents Association are planning their next clothes collection, so please start collecting your used clothing, shoes, linens, household textiles, stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean). Bags may be dropped to Kilbarron school any Friday from now on. Collection date June 11th. If you need to have your bags collected please contact Carmel 087 6359492 or any member of the parents association.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
