ALL IRELAND SUCCESS
Congratulations to local soccer players, Jack Dunne, Kilbarron and Conal Moran, Coolbawn, members of Nenagh AFC who won the U17 FAI All Ireland final in Limerick on Bank Holiday Monday. Jack, who captained the victorious team, had a tremendous game against Wilton FC, Cork. Well done lads.

COMMUNITY ALERT MEETING
Kilbarron / Terryglass community alert are holding a meeting in Ballinderry Sports Pavillon on Wed. 4th May at 8pm. Sgt Tom O’ Dwyer who will give and presentation on security and update us on recent crime trends. Other members of Garda will attend. Annual subscription of 10 euro is now due and will be collected on the night. New members welcome

THE KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The next talk hosted by the Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society will be held on Friday 13th May at 8.30pm in the pavillion Ballinderry and will be given by Danny Grace (Ormond Historical Society). The talk is titled The Finnoe Murders 1843 and tells the story of the murder of Thomas Waller and his sister in law Harriet Vereker on 12th November 1843 at Finnoe House near Borrisokane. Admission €5.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
Our next outing is to The Thatched Cottage for a three course meal at 1pm on Monday 16th May, followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. The menu choice is Roast Beef or Salmon, dessert either trifle or bread and butter pudding. The subsidized cost is €10, names please to Jimmy Donnelly

KILBARRON TIDY TOWNS
Work evenings every Monday and Thursday. Meet in the car-park at 7pm. All help welcome.
Our annual ‘Spring Clean / Litter Pick’ will take place in the coming weeks once the weather warms up a little.

KILBARRON N.S. USED CLOTHING COLLECTION

The Parent’s Association of Kilbarron N.S. is organizing a clothing collection as part of this year’s fundraising events. They are looking for your used clothing, shoes, linens, household textiles, stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean). Bags may be dropped to the school any Friday or if you need collection please contact Siobhan at 087 6986054.

SMALL COINS
Knigh United Girls Soccer club are collecting 1c and 2c coins . If you have any small coins lying around that you would be willing to donate, please contact Marcella at 087 6879502.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
