VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS – total amount donated to our Christmas Cribs was €760 which was sent to the local St. Vincent de Paul office.
Ash Wednesday is this coming Wednesday and the first day of Lent. It is a period of reparation in honour of the Passion of Christ. Ashes, reminding us of our mortality, are blessed and distributed with the words “turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel”. This is a time of fasting, penance and prayer.
Ashes will be blessed & distributed at Mass in Kilbarron at 7.30pm on Wed.
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES & WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE SICK. This Sunday we celebrate the 166th anniversary of Mary’s God’s Mother appearing to St Bernadette at Lourdes and inviting her to bring people to Lourdes on pilgrimage. This invitation is now issued to the Diocese of Killaloe to come on pilgrimage to Lourdes from Friday 21st June to Wednesday 26th June . Cost 899pp sharing. FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION The next Ritual takes place at Mass in Kilbarron next Sunday, Feb 18th at 9.30am. Bishop Fintan has kindly agreed to be with us in Kilbarron next Sunday.
