A PASTORAL LETTER FROM BISHOP FINTAN, entitled Going forward in Faith, Hope and Love will be launched in the diocese on Mission Sunday, Oct. 21-22.  Hard copies are available in Churches this weekend and also on the diocesan website.

 

OPEN INVITATION TO JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS IN BORRISOKANE: Free Jubilee Concert, Saturday 21st October at 7.30pm and Celebratory Mass Sunday 22nd October at 10.30am. All are Welcome.

 

MISSION SUNDAY  Today we celebrate Mission Sunday, a day of universal prayer and support for the work of missionaries The Annual Mission Sunday appeal takes place at all Masses. This collection is used to support missionaries in remote parts of the world.  This year’s theme “Hearts on fire, feet on the move”

 

FRANCISCAN BROTHERS APPEAL  The Franciscan Brothers have permission from the Diocese to make an appeal in all parishes of the Diocese this year.  We welcome Brother Brian Johnson, OSF at both masses next weekend

 

FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION the next Ritual Mass takes place this Sunday in Terryglass.

 

HARVEST THANKSGIVING we give thanks at our masses this weekend for this year’s harvest and for all God’s blessings.
