KILBARRON NEW CEMETERY  Maintenance fees are now due and may be given to Willie Joe Tiernan, Tess O’Meara, Dermot Costello or Joe Slattery.

CEMETERY MASS Provisional dates for our Cemetery masses are – Terryglass on Sun Aug 8th at 9.30am, and Kilbarron on Sat. Aug 14th at 8pm.

KILBARRON SACRISTANS – We are looking for 2 new Sacristans for Kilbarron Church.  If you would like to volunteer, please talk to those who are doing this already to find out a bit more about it. 

 

World Day for Grandparents and Elderly

Today, Sunday 25th July with the theme “I am with you always

Pope Francis has established this day in recognition of their role in passing on the faith and their wide knowledge of life.  Knock shrine has a special Mass at 3pm with Rosary at 2.30pm  www.knockshrine.ie

 

Croagh Patrick climb, the Annual National Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick or ‘Reek Sunday’ is celebrated today. It has been extended to incorporate the whole month of July.

 

Marriage preparation – in addition to completing a recognised pre-marriage course:   Couples need to fulfil the requirements set by the civil register which for this area is in:  Tyrone Health Centre, Nenagh 067 46 480 crs.midwest@hse.ie     

Obtain Baptism and Confirmation certs.

Make an appointment with Priest and complete the pre-nuptial form.

The Lough Derg Pilgrim Path on the lough shore i@s now open daily.  The full route is a 12km loop, with a shorter 8km option, and several information boards highlight features of particular interest.  Leaflets are available at the Visitors Centre.  A guided walk experience will be offered on Sun 25th and Sat 31st July, with Mass outdoors, weather permitting.  Further dates for these guided walks will follow for late August and early September.
