AN EVENING FOR AOIFE
A fundraising event in aid of Terryglass woman Aoife Donoghue will be held in The Derg Inn, Terryglass on Saturday Dec. 10th. Aoife became paralysed from the waist down following illness earlier this year. The evening will consist of a buffet meal, live music and a fun auction. Tickets, which cost €30, are now on sale in local outlets and online. If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation to the fund we have included a €10 option to facilitate your support. LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIRED
Our Christmas Party will take place in The Thatched Cottage on Monday 12th December with a three course meal, followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. RACE NIGHT – THANK YOU
Kilbaron N.S. Parents Association wishes to thank all those who supported their Race Night in Hannigans on Saturday December 3rd. We really appreciate all the local businesses who sponsored the races and spot prizes, everyone who bought the horses and all who joined us on the night to make this such a successful fund raiser for the local school. Special thanks to Joe Hannigan who was a great MC on the night.

BAPTISM – We welcome Ria Anotin Burke into our Christian Community. Ria is daughter of Berna Walshe and Pakie Burke, Kilbarron.

KILBARRON WALKERS
Now that the longer evenings are here why not come out and get a bit of exercise. The walkers will meet at 8pm in the village carpark. We intend walking 5 evenings per week, so come along any evening that suits you. Walkers of all ages and fitness levels welcome, just bring your hi-viz and a flashlamp. In addition to the walking, the local Tidy Towns committee have arranged a weekly weigh-in in Hannigans every Wednesday night after 9pm. This is an ideal opportunity to monitor your weight and blood pressure and see the benefits of the extra exercise – why not come along and join in. With only ten weeks to Christmas, you will be delighted with the new you!
WEEKLY WEIGH-IN Kilbarron Tidy Towns committee have organised a weekly weigh-in every Wednesday night after 9pm in Hannigans. Weight and blood pressure measured to monitor your progress.

USED CLOTHING COLLECTION
Start collecting your used clothing, shoes, linens, household textiles, stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean). Bags may be dropped to Kilbarron school any Friday from now on. If you need to have your bags collected please contact Siobhan at 087 6986054.

BINGO
There is Bingoo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,500. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
