SYMPATHY
We extend our sincere sympathy to Vickie Cahill, Carney and her family on the recent death of her sister-in-law Teresa McGowan, Silvermines, to Midge O’Meara and family, Kilbarron on the death of his father Joey O’Meara, Nenagh, and to Jack Hayes, Finnoe on the death of his sister, Mary Kate Corboy, Carney. May they rest in peace.

SHANNON ROVERS JUVENILE CLUB
The adjourned AGM takes place this Saturday night 14th Jan in the Pavillion, Ballinderry at 8pm sharp. All are welcome – a good turnout would be great.

PANTO SUCCESS – ONE MORE PERFORMANCE
After three hugely successful performances with Kilbarron Hall full to capacity on each nigh, our local Panto group will travel to Lorrha to present this years’ production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. Expect lots of fun and laughter along with some great songs that we can all sing along to. The matinee performance of the Panto will be staged in Lorrha Community Hall on Sunday Jan 15th at 5pm with doors opening at 4.15pm. Admission is €5 per child and €10 per adult.

KILBARRON TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Date for your Diary. – Friday, January 13th 2017 at 8pm in the Pavillion Ballinderry, John Flannery will give a talk on the Famous Denis ‘Sonny’ O’Neill and his connection to the killing of Michael Collins at Beal na mBlath in Co Cork in August 1922. Not to be missed.


GETTING MARRIED in 2017?

If you are planning to get married soon we would like to remind you of the necessity of :
1. Giving at least 3 months notice to your local Priest.
2. Giving at least 3 months notice to the State Registrar, Tyone Health Centre, Nenagh.
3. Doing an Accord Pre-Marriage Course or one in Esker Retreat House, Athenry well in advance (at least 6 months) of the date of marriage. Dates of Pre-Marriage Courses are posted in our Churches.

4. Filling in the pre-marriage papers (pre-Nuptial Enquiry Form) with your local priest.
Note: We have bookings for quite a number of weddings from outside the parish each year, therefore it is advisable to book the Church as early as possible .

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,500. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
