TERRYGLASS/KILBARRON ENTERPRISE GROUP
The Terryglass/Kilbarron Enterprise Group is now planning a Christmas Market in Terryglass in December. Anyone interested in partaking by taking a stand please contact Michael on 086 8466461.

DEATH
The death occurred recently in Belfast of Kitty Marcus, nee Stanley, formerly of Coolbawn. The Marcus family wish to thank family and friends, around Coolbawn, for their support, kindness and sympathy, and those who came all the way to Belfast for the Thanksgiving Service. Kitty may have been away from Coolbawn neigh on 60 plus years but her heart was always in the place she loved.

BUILDING FOR HOPE
Following Fr. John Molloy’s appeal for volunteers to help build a home for blind orphans in Kenya, two local men have volunteered to take up the challenge, Gerry O’Rourke and Michael McGeeney. They expect to travel to Kenya in early February for 10 days, and will be fundraising over the coming months i.e. a concert, timber/turf auction, they are also looking for donations of same,any amount will be appreciated. BIRTHDAY GREETINGS
Best wishes to Declan Whelan, Terryglass, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday with family and friends. We wish him many more years of health and happiness.

ART EXHIBITION
Rose Carty, Coolbawn, has a new show ‘Water and Colour’ in Nenagh Library for the month of September, with a varied selection of subjects in watercolour, oil and mixed media. Rose has exhibited widely in the UK, Wexford and Tipperary and her last show was a great success, with buyers from all over the country, all work is for sale.

JUMBLE SALE
As the charity Jumble Sale in Terryglass Community Hall over the Halloween weekend approaches, now is the time to collect all saleable items such as bric-a-brac, toys, books, plants, pictures etc., also unwanted items suitable for raffle prizes.
Two and a half days bargain hunting, fun and much more, there is sure to be something for everyone, so come and don’t miss out on finding something special. If you require your items to be collected contact Mary or Anita.
Volunteers needed and willing help greatly appreciated especially for the preparation of the sale and the clean-up afterwards..
The proceeds of the sale will go to St. Vincent de Paul and also to two local men who will be travelling to Kenya with Fr. John Molloy’s project ‘Build For Hope’.

PARISH WEBSITE
The Pastoral Parish Council is currently setting up a Parish Website. The site will be maintained by the Parish Council and will be an information site catering for all aspects of parish life. One area of the site will be a directory of all businesses in the parish. ANNIVERSARY MASS
The second year anniversary Mass for the late Rosemary Cahalan, Drominagh, Ballinderry, will be this Sunday , 25th September, at the 11am Mass in Terryglass Church.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The ‘Tip of the Week’ –is to improve your security when out and about. Keep wallets and purses out of sight, held or shoulder bags should be kept close to the body and not dangling by the strap. Keep cash to a minimum and only carry debit/credit cards that are needed and be alert when parking and getting out of your vehicle.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €20, €20 and €30 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively, with the full house before the break rising to €100 and €50 for the last one. There is a flyer for €200 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding areas and cost €5 return, i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 083 4007748 or 067 21988.

RURAL TRANSPORT
A bus is available to take parishioners from Kilbarron, Coolbawn and Ballinderry to the 8.00pm Mass in Terryglass and departs from Kilbarron at 7.15pm.  For further information or to book a place please contact Loretta Tiernan 067 28066 or Mary Tierney 28167
The bus to Nenagh each Thursday departs Paddy’s, Terryglass at 10am, Ballinderry 10.10, Coolbawn (Molamphy’s) 10.20 arriving in Nenagh at 11am. The bus returns from Nenagh at 2.10pm .We urge you to consider availing of these services, which are free to Travel Pass holders. The bus operator is Ken Daly 083 4007748 or 067 21988 or if you require more information on any route please contact Louise 067 27088.
A bus also travels to Borrisokane each Monday departing from Terryglass around 1pm, via Ballinderry, Coolbawn and Carney Commons and arrives at 2pm and departs for home at 4pm. Services are door to door and booking can be made by contacting Ken Daly.
