PANTO TIME
Our local Panto group are putting the finishing touches to this years’ production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. Expect lots of fun and laughter along with some great songs that we can all sing along to. The Panto will be staged in Kilbarron Hall on Friday Jan 6 and Saturday Jan 7th at 8pm and a matinee on Sunday Jan 8th at 5pm. After the huge success of last year’s Panto, we hope to see you all back again to see if the handsome Prince can rescue the beautiful Snow White, or will the Evil Queen get her hopeless Hunters to do anything right. And as for the Seven Dwarfs – well, they have to be seen to be believed!!

SYMPATHY
The death occurred on Wednesday 14th December of Michael Moran, Dublin and formerly Coolbawn. He was pre-deceased only 6 weeks ago by his wife Frances. Our sincere sympathy is extended to his son Damian and family, Kilbarron and his brother Frank, Coolbawn.

BALLINDERRY SPORTSFIELD
It has been a very busy year on Ballinderry Sportsfield, which continues to be a hub for the local community. The facility is used by over 200 members, drawn from GAA and Camogie Associations, together with Meeting rooms being used by voluntary organisations, including the local historical society, who host talks and meetings there. This year has been a significant one, in that we managed to clear the loan on the field, in this respect we would like to thank everyone who supported our limited draw during the year and those who continue to support the Lotto. We would like to thank the outgoing committee led by Michael Fox, Linda Tiernan and David Whelan for their great work over the past few years. We would like to wish those that use and support the facility a very enjoyable Christmas and a happy new year. Finally, we invite all of you to join us for our Christmas Party in Paddy’s bar on St. Stephen’s night, 26th December, from 9.30 p.m.

OFFICERS FOR BALLINDERRY SPORTSFIELD
All officer positions within the Sportsfield from Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Treasurer need to be filled. We would very much appreciate the help of anyone in the community who would be willing to serve in those positions for 1 year. In respect of this, please contact one of the following: Declan Tiernan, David Whelan, Ger Leenane, Helen Fox or Paul Moran.
