THE LATE MIDE GERRARD
The death occurred on December 16th of Mide Gerrard, nee O’Brien, Lesseragh House, Coolbawn, after residing at her residence on Friday removal took place to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Terryglass, for Funeral Mass on Saturday and burial took place in the adjoining cemetery. Mide was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. predeceased by her son Charlie. She was a musician, planner and a member of An Taisce for many years. Sympathy is extended to her husband Peter, son John, daughters Joy, Morwenna, Esther, Ailbhe and Cathy, brother Conal, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

BOOK LAUNCH
The Shannon Rovers Review Book 2013 is now on sale The annual review will once again look back on the highs and lows of our GAA activities in the parish and includes many photos and pieces of information on events of the past year, every grade is included. The Shannon Rovers Review is priced at €10 and proceeds will go the Juvenile hurling and football club.

SHANNON RANGERS FC
Shannon Rangers will be holding its annual fixture of the first team against the veterans on St. Stephan’s Day at the Sportsfield in Ballinderry. Kick off on the day is at 2pm. The match will be followed by a 70’s disco and fancy dress in Elsie’s with raffle and spot prizes on the night.
The club would like to wish all our members a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

CHRISTMAS DAY DIVE
There will be a Christmas Day Dive at Cleary’s Quay, Coolbawn, at 12.30pm on Dec. 25th in aid of 100Minds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. If you would like to participate in the dive or donate to the charity, please contact Michaela Slattery 086 2673736.

COMMUNITY ALERT
The Tip of the Week is – Make sure your Christmas tree lights have a safe socket connection. Be watchful at all times of lit candles and keep out of the reach of children.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.
