HAPPY NEW YEAR
Wishes for a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year are extended to the readers of the Terryglass and Kilbarron notes, both at home and those who are living in far flung places. CHURCH NEWS
THANKS to all who participated in the Christmas Liturgies, to all those who prepared our churches and all who helped in any way to make this Christmas a worthy celebration of the Birthday of Our Saviour. Thanks to all those who do different ministries in our Churches. A special word of thanks to the Pastoral Council and the Finance Committee who keep everything running smoothly in our parish during the year. Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful and blessed New Year.
First Friday – on January 1st. Masses in Kilbarron at 10am and Terryglass at 7.30pm.
Feast of the Epiphany on Wednesday January 6th. Masses in Terryglass at 10am and Kilbarron at 7.30pm
Crib donations this year will be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

CARE OF THE ELDERLY
If you know of any elderly neighbour or person living in your area who may be alone or in need of some assistance during these times, we would urge you to drop in for a chat or a quick visit. The smallest of things can mean the world to someone, so, we would encourage us who are able to keep an eye to our elderly neighbours and friends this Christmas season.

CALLING ALL LADIES….
After all your hard work over the Christmas period it is now time to treat yourself. Celebrate Nollaig na mBan- Women’s Christmas- in Paddy’s Bar this 6th of January at 7.30pm. Enjoy a 4 Course Meal for €25. Booking is essential at 067 22147. Come celebrate this special occasion with your nearest and dearest and keep this tradition alive.

PANTO IN KILBARRON
Finishing touches are currently being put on the hilarious and family friendly ‘Cinderella’ panto which will be staged in Kilbarron on Friday January 8th and Saturday January 9th at 8pm. It promises to be a great evening’s entertainment, with director Phil Quigley trying to transform the Ugly Sisters and help the Fairy Godmother redeem the Wicked Stepmother. The Panto showcases the wonderful local talent, young and not so young! Admission is just €10 for adults and €5 for children.

KILBARRON WALKERS
Just a reminder that we are still walking every night – meeting in the carpark in Kilbarron village at 8pm. Come and join us any night, it’s a great way to walk off the excesses of Christmas and work on that ‘new you’ in the New Year.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
