Weekly News 7th August 2016

Congratulations to Eamon Joyce, Carrigahorig and Lorna Moynihan who were married in Barefield, Co. Clare recently. We wish the happy couple a long and happy life together.

Ballinderry Sportsfield held its confined draw in the Pavilion on Saturday July 30th. First prize of €3000 was won by Breda O’Meara’s chemist. Prizes of €500 were won by Jessica Moran, Patrick F. Treacy, James O’Meara and Sean and Jer Hogan. The field committee would like to congratulate the winners and to thank everyone who bought a ticket and all of our sellers who put in sterling work. The excellent support that we receive ensures that all 250 tickets were sold. This generosity has put us in a position to clear our loan and return the facilities to the community debt free.

Our next outing is on Monday 8th August at 1pm for a meal in The Thatched Cottage, followed by an afternoon of music song and dance with Seanie. Menu choice is Beef, Turkey or Salmon and trifle or bread and butter pudding. The subsidized cost is €10, names and menu choice to Jimmy Donnelly 089 4186944 or Loretta Tiernan 086 3782623
