BRENDAN GRACE IN COOLBAWN QUAY
As a fundraiser for Shannon Rangers soccer club, Brendan Grace will be performing in Coolbawn Quay on Thursday, March 10th at 8pm. Tickets are €30 and can be purchased in all local pubs and shops or from the following committee members – Timmy 087 8120841, Rossi – 087 7423990, Damian 087 7640779. This promises to be a great night’s entertainment and you are encouraged to book your tickets as soon as possible as they are selling fast.

LOWER ORMOND RETIREMENT

Our first outing of 2016 is on Monday 8th Feb. to The Thatched Cottage for a three course meal at 1pm followed by an afternoon of music, song and dance with Seanie. KILBARRON / TERRYGLASS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society in conjunction with Dr. Mary Leenane of Maynooth University are planning to run a workshop on’An Introduction to Celtic Calligraphy’ . The workshop is on Saturday 13th February in Terryglass Hall (2hrs in the morning and 2hrs after lunch). The workshop with dinner tea/coffee is €20. There are currently four places remaining. Please contact a member of the committee or Society to book a place.

COMEDY IN RATHCABBIN
Rathcabbin Players present a 3 act farcical comedy ‘Play On’ in Rathcabbin Hall from Friday
Feb 5th to 7th and from 11th to 14th. at 8.30pm. sharp in Rathcabbin Hall. Written by playwright Rick Abbott and directed by Banagher man Brendan Dolan it’s essential to book a seat by calling (087) 2360096.

1916 CENTENARY EVENT
You are invited to the Workhouse, Portumna on Thursday 4th of February at 6 p.m. Launch of Commemorative Postcards from the Archives, followed by screening (cinemobile) of two films, Mise Éire and a short film produced by TY students, Woodford. Refreshments served and all welcome. Booking essential; tel: 091 509025.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 for a line and two lines respectively and full houses now range from €50, €70, €100 and €120. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100. Buses are available from the surrounding area i.e. Nenagh/Ardcroney/ Borrisokane/BallinderryandBallingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/ Terryglass.
